Let's break ground. From site prep and land clearing to mass excavation and utilities, Mighty Arm Excavation gets your site ready for foundations. We hit the schedule, talk straight, and hand off ground your next trade can build on.

Licensed & Bonded
Mighty Arm Excavation started in 2024, clearing storm-downed trees after a Seattle windstorm. Within three months that grew into full site development, and from there into public works and federal contracting. Today GCs and developers bring us in for sitework that has to be right the first time.
That early work taught us how a schedule actually holds on a live site. We bid the real scope, hold the dates we commit to, and keep you updated at every phase, so the trades sequenced behind us aren't waiting on us.

Washington State licensed, bonded, and insured on every project. Contractor License #605-632-469.
Registered in SAM.gov to work for the USGS, USFS, the Army, and other federal agencies. Set up for prevailing wage on public projects, too.
Earthwork and underground utilities, spec'd the way your estimators already write them.
We stand behind our workmanship for a full year from substantial completion.
We know the region's soils, grades, and permit offices.
From a pad ready for foundations to a full utility run tied into the main, Mighty Arm handles the earthwork and the underground so your build stays on schedule.

Site prep, earthwork, land clearing, utilities, ROW, and potholing, the full scope of getting your site ready for foundations.

Commercial and structural tear-downs plus septic decommissioning, from buildings and barns to houses and outbuildings, handled cleanly and hauled off.
From the bid through final handoff, you work with an estimator who knows your scope and your schedule. We answer the phone, hit the dates we commit to, and hand off a site the next trade can build on.
Track Record
Projects completed across the greater Seattle area, King County, and Puget Sound region.

You work with an estimator who knows your job start to finish, not a rotating desk. Questions get a straight answer the same day.

We mobilize when we commit and keep your site moving, so the trades stacked behind us aren't waiting on the dirt.

The scope we bid is the scope we run. If conditions in the ground change, you hear it from us early with options.

We hand off grade and subgrade your foundation crew can build on the day they arrive, documented where the spec calls for it.
From the first site walk to the final handover, the same crew owns your sitework start to finish.

We talk through your goals, review the site, and settle on the right approach before anything gets priced.
We review plans, coordinate with your engineers or GC, and put together a detailed proposal on scope, pricing, and schedule.
We pull permits where needed, mobilize the crew, and do the work to plan and spec, keeping you posted the whole way.
We walk the finished site with you, close out any punch items, and turn it over to you or your GC.
See the ground we hand off. Our project gallery shows the site prep, grading, and utility work we've delivered for GCs and developers across Greater Seattle.
As an excavation contractor, we know GCs judge us on three things: we pick up the phone, we hit the schedule, and we hand off a site ready for the next trade.

Mighty Arm works a 50–70 mile radius around Seattle, Tacoma to Bellingham, west to the Sound and east to North Bend. We know the soils, the grades, and the permit offices across the metro, so your project doesn't lose time to an excavation contractor learning the territory.

Home base & primary coverage
When your estimator opens a bid, they're reading it in CSI divisions, not marketing copy. Mighty Arm works in the same language your plans, specs, and bid packages already use, so our scope drops straight into your estimate without translation. Here's the ground we cover.
Everything from raw ground to a pad ready for foundations.
The underground that ties your site into the mains.
On your site, a sub's safety practices become your exposure. We keep that off your plate.
Digging a hole is the easy part. Handing a GC a site that passes inspection, holds up in PNW rain, and doesn't generate a change order two weeks later is what separates the excavation contractor you award from the crew you replace mid-schedule.
We proof-roll and run density testing when the spec calls for it, and we hand you the results. A pad that "looks compacted" isn't the same as one you can document to the engineer.
Federal work like earthquake fault-line trenching for the USGS doesn't leave room for "close enough." That's the standard we bring to a townhome pad or a subdivision utility run.
We warrant our work for a full year from substantial completion. Not every sub will put that on paper.
We're already registered in SAM.gov and set up for certified payroll. On a public job, that's the difference between a sub who slows you down and one who doesn't.
Before you award the sitework, you're sizing up whether the crew can carry it. Here's the standard we hold ourselves to.
We're a Washington State licensed contractor, bonded and insured on every job, License #605-632-469. You get the numbers up front, not a vague "we're covered."
We read the plans, walk the site, and price what's really there. A round number quoted sight-unseen is how change orders sneak up on you later.
Plenty of crews can dig. We tie in wet and dry utilities and see them through inspection, so a job that needs both doesn't turn into two subs and a coordination gap.
Public works, prevailing wage, tight urban sites. We're set up for the paperwork and the conditions that make most excavation companies walk away.
Splitting your sitework across two subs means two schedules, two points of contact, and a gap where the finger-pointing happens. Bringing your demolition and excavation under one contractor closes that gap.
When the same contractor demos the old structure and preps the pad, nothing waits on a second sub to mobilize. No dead days between phases.
You're not juggling a separate demolition contractor and excavator. One partner owns the whole scope from tear-down to finished subgrade.
When demolition and excavation live under one contract, there's no "that's the other guy's problem." We own the dirt and everything that came off it.
We sequence our work around the schedule behind us, so the site is ready exactly when your foundation crew shows up, not a week after.
Yes, and it's a big part of what we do. We're registered in SAM.gov and set up for prevailing wage, including the certified payroll most subs would rather avoid. We've already done federal work, including fault-line trenching for the USGS.
A 50 to 70 mile radius around Seattle, from Tacoma to Bellingham and out to North Bend. That covers Seattle, Bellevue, Tacoma, Everett, Lynnwood, Bellingham, Granite Falls, and North Bend.
Yes. We review your plans, coordinate with your engineers or GC, and bid in CSI Division 31 and 33 terms so our line items match your spec sections. Every proposal lays out scope, pricing, and schedule up front.
Earthwork under Division 31: clearing, mass and structural excavation, trenching, backfill, structural fill, pad and subgrade prep, grading, and erosion control. Utilities under Division 33: water mains, sewer, storm drainage, side sewers, and connections.
We do. Running both under one crew means fewer handoffs, one point of contact, and no gap between two separate subs.
Contracts run from around $80,000 for site prep and utilities on one to two homes up to $1 million and beyond for subdivisions and multi-home developments. Plats, condo and townhome builds, and commercial sitework are our lane.
Yes. We're a Washington State licensed contractor, bonded and insured on every project. UBI #605-632-469 and License #MIGHTAE766QK.
Non-union.
We warrant our workmanship for one year from substantial completion, with manufacturer warranties on supplied materials passed through to the owner. It excludes damage caused by others, settlement beyond normal tolerances, and misuse.
